Privacy Policy

This policy describes information handled by Lefty Firearms when you visit www.leftyfirearms.com or subscribe to The Left Field. You do not need an account to browse.

Optional analytics and your choice

We use Google Analytics 4, Vercel Web Analytics, and Vercel Speed Insights to understand visits and page performance. Unless you allow analytics, Google Analytics runs in a consent-denied mode: it sends anonymous, aggregate measurements and does not write cookies or store an identifier on your device. Vercel Web Analytics and Speed Insights are cookieless and likewise store nothing on your device. If you allow analytics, Google Analytics may additionally use cookies and browser/device identifiers so we can recognise returning visits. Analytics providers also receive technical request information such as IP address, browser and requested URL. We disable Google signals and advertising personalization in every state, and this site serves no advertising.

You can allow, decline or change your choice using Analytics preferences at the bottom of the page. Declining stops all analytics — including the anonymous measurement above — and reloads the page to halt scripts already running. It does not erase information already sent to providers. You can remove previously stored cookies through your browser settings. We store your analytics choice in your browser; a Do Not Track or Global Privacy Control signal is treated as declining, and no analytics loads at all.

Newsletter and messages

When you subscribe, we send your email address and the form source to Loops, our email service provider, to manage The Left Field. If subscriber backups are explicitly enabled and our backup datastore is configured, we also retain the address, source, and signup time in Upstash Redis. Submitting an address does not verify ownership of that mailbox. Public submissions do not change an existing contact's subscription preferences.

Use the unsubscribe link in a newsletter to stop future newsletter sends. If you previously unsubscribed and wish to return, contact us so we can verify your request. If you email us, we receive your address and the information you include so we can respond.

Hosting, security, and site features

Vercel hosts this site and may process IP addresses, browser information, and requested URLs in operational and security logs. Where configured, Upstash Redis stores signup rate-limit counters and aggregate page-view and outbound-link counters. These operational counters are separate from the optional third-party analytics above. The comparison feature stores your selections in your browser.

Retention and deletion

Newsletter contacts remain in Loops until removed; unsubscribe preferences may be retained to prevent unwanted email. Our optional subscriber backup does not currently expire automatically. Unsubscribing does not itself delete that backup. To request access to or deletion of information associated with your address, contact us; requests must cover both the email service and any subscriber backup. Hosting and analytics data are also subject to their providers' retention settings.

Third-party links

Retailers and affiliate networks may use their own cookies when you follow an external link. Their policies govern activity on those sites. See our Affiliate Disclosure. We do not sell your personal information.

Children

This site is intended for adults. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 18. Contact us if you believe a child has provided personal information.
